Anyone been watching? Juventus, Napoli, Chelsea, and Real Madrid all eliminated. Quarterfinals set. PSG - Atalanta on Wednesday No Mbappe for PSG, they haven’t played real games for awhile, and Atalanta has been hot. Should be a fun one. RB Leipzig - Atlético Madrid on Thursday Atlético took out the champions, their defense to counter attack is amazing, think they manage a close but comfortable win. Barcelona - Bayern on Friday Barcelona looks really vulnerable and Bayern is basically a juggernaut and I would say Bayern is the tournament favorite now. Man City - Lyon on Saturday Man City should easily win, Lyon is lucky to be in the position because of away goals.
Barcelona was absolutely embarrassed and essentially ran off the field. Didn't shed one tear for them, lol.
When I clicked this I was thinking of League of Legends, and then it was like oh I like soccer too lol.
I hate Barça so I’m good lol those Germans were so effective scoring they even scored for the opposition today!
Yeah, I'm not a fan of Barca either. My team is Man U and in the semis of the Europa League on Sunday. My wife and daughter are Chelsea fans while my son is a Man U fan as well. Makes for interesting discussions, lol.
Lol I’m a Chelsea guy myself, really excited for next season, Pulisic, Werner, Ziyech... havertz! Now if we can get rid of Kepa and get another center back we will be cookin with gas. Liverpool, Man U, Man City, and Chelsea are gonna have some wars next season.
Kepa is Lampards scape goat as your defense wasn't very good this year and a lot of those goals were mistakes by the defense and not Kepa's fault. Losing Willian is going to hurt unless one of the youngsters can step up. Inter are also said to be making a play for Kante which will hurt as well as he pretty much keeps that midfield together.
Kepa was literally the 20th GK in save % this year, the defense was poor yes, but Kepa let in sooooo many stoppable goals. Too many times he just stood and watched. Hoping we can get Pope or Onana... or if we get all the luck, Oblak. Willian and Pedro will be missed but I’m not too concerned, Kante would at least garner a decent transfer fee but I think Inter really wants Messi. Pulisic-Werner-Ziyech Kovacic-Havertz-Kante bench: Mount, CHO, Jorginho, RLC, Giroud, Abraham, and Gilmour that’s plenty offense, and I’m sure we will sell Barkley and Batshuayi, plus a lot of the players on loan.
Most teams don't have the money to be able to purchase Messi as from what I remember his buy out clause is astronomical and with teams losing so much money they don't have a lot to spend due to the fair play rule so I don't see him going anywhere at this time. Remember, Conte is coaching at Inter and he's grabbing up EPL players right and left. He now has Lukaku, Sanchez, Ashley Young from Man U and Erickson from Totenham along with Moses from Chelsea all in the last few years. Conte is also trying to buy Pogba and offering Dybala in exchange but Dybala has indicated that he would like to hook up with Pogba again and Man U was interested in him a year ago so he might be in play to come to Man U as Pogba seems very interested in staying at Man U and signing a new contract. It will be interesting especially with everything pushed back. Hard to believe that the season starts in about a month. How bout dem Timbers? Heck of a tournament and encouraging for the restart. Bummer is we are season ticket holders so won't see any more games this year but at least my tickets for next year are virtually paid for. We have some of the best seats for the price as we are in the South End in Row D (which is the top row) and it has twice the leg room and sits higher than normal so easier to see over the people in front. Both my kids played soccer for years and played for top clubs in Oregon and did a lot of traveling to big tournaments and they both played some in college. We love the game.
I think Messi wants out and He should be able to leave he’s earned that. Hell of a way to stick it to Nani in the final! Lol I hope we can keep momentum up and tear the MLS up now.
I'm not sure there is a team that can afford to buy Messi at this stage as the article linked explains what it would cost and it would be astronomical. $357mil buy out clause and $33mil a year salary. Wow, thatsa a lot of money. https://the18.com/soccer-news/how-much-would-it-cost-manchester-city-buy-messi
