1) Michael Jordan.really a "duh" entery here, his career was just fantastic, he won just about every award a player could win(never wont 6th man or MIP). He also changed the game unlike any player every, both for good and bad. He got the game a lot of publicity but at the same time made 100,000,000 Jordan clones, who only focused on what he did offensively. Many people forget just how good of a defensive player he really was.2)Kobe Bryant.I am a Lakerhater, and I pretty much do despise Kobe Bryant, but his accomplishments rank him this high and thats it. He isn't as accomplished as Jordan was, and never will be, but he is a good all around player.3)Jerry West.MR NBA. some say he is a 1, but he played a lot more like a two, especially compared to the modern 2. 4)Pete MaravichScoring wise he's probably one of the 10 greatest scorers to play in the NBA, and possibly the greatest college scorer ever. but his inability to win really blemishes his reputation, he also slacked a lot on defense.5)John HavilcekI had a hard time between him, Heinshon,Drexler and Monroe but gave it to him. He was a good shooter and played hard, he also helped redifine the 2 into its more modern look.Honorable mentions:Earl Monroe, Clyde Drexler, Tommy Heinshon,
I would switch Havlicek with Maravich, because Havlicek was actually a winner, and he was not a ball hog like Maravich.
1) Michael Jordan2) Kobe Bryant3) Jerry West4) George Gervin5) Pete MaravichMy list. Different players could probably be interchanged with Maravich, but it was tough.

Either way, even if you consider him a swingman in general. I consider him a SG and one of the best to ever play the position.
Okay, I said I wasn't sure...That's fine with me. If they list him as a G-F, he obviously played at SF too though.

He was one of those players who played both very often but you could definately consider him a SG. It's stupid to say ''no hes a forward'' Thats like saying No Tim Duncan is a pf, not a center.

You can't throw him in the best SG all-time argument when he was a small-forward most of his career.

He even played most of the 1977 nba finals as a sg.

agreed. Dr. J = SF for the majority of his career.I don't think he ever played the 2 for an entire season. Most if his sixer years had Andrew Toney and Mo Cheeks in the backcourt.
Yeah, I am pretty sure Dr. J played most SF, some PF, and some SG.I agree with SirLaker for the most part, but, not the fifth greatest.1. Jordan2. Bryant3. West4. Gervin5. Drexler
