    two problems with that...

one is that this is Dame's 8th season and he's never really played off the ball as part of the offense. His assisted FG rate this season is 18%. His assisted FG rate from three is 29%. Blazers have had 8 years of Stotts offense that almost never runs plays for Dame off the ball. Compare that to Curry who last season, had an assisted FG rate of 59% and an assisted three rate of 67%. But then Curry has had elite talent around him that keeps defenses honest. More than that is he's had excellent teammate passing options on the floor at all times throughout his career

in the playoffs, a team needs ball-handling options that will consistently create defensive reaction and adjustments. The only Blazer capable of that is Dame...and that's the 2nd problem.: Turning Dame into more of a catch-and-shoot option isn't going to solve the riddle because it's conceding to the defense exactly what they want: the ball out of Dame's hands

it's pretty simple really: if Dame's 2nd banana was Paul George or Kawhi or Jimmy Butler, we wouldn't be seeing this type of defense

This is why I standby that if you swap Dame with Curry, the Warriors would’ve been even better.

Although I doubt they will do it, they should totally pipe this in during the game, especially at the start. Since, it's suppose to be a home game.

in creating their own offense they are better

in running an offense they are much worse, and that's Portland's big issue when Dame is being limited

by the way, did anybody else say 'huh' when the TNT crew said CJ had 85 bottle of wine delivered to hi room in the bubble? That's like 25 bottles a week. Seems a little excessive

There is a possibility that there are a lot of bottles from whatever vineyard he is getting his new personal label wine from and he's giving bottles out to guys in an effort to get them interested in his business venture. CJ is all about the business stuff. I sincerely doubt even half of them are for him personally.

CJ was the one player who initially voted against playing in Orlando...

That has been exactly what i have been thinking. This just makes him less of a ball handler and more of a spot up shooter.

But you do have CJ, Mario, and Trent. Not to mention Melo and Nurk who both can pass the ball well.

25 bottles a week if he is only there 3 weeks. If he is there 6 weeks. then what? And who is to say he isn't treating the whole team?

I was kind of playing along. 85 bottles in six weeks means they are drinking like a fish winning the Championship!

I suspected...but people here get triggered by the least little things

and by the way, pretty sure fish don't drink....but a bear does shit in the woods....I've seen it, both the act and the result
