I hate the Lakers, but bruh, those are some dope-ass uniforms.

And on August 24th, as in "8/24" = Kobe Bryant's jersey numbers.

Don't look now, but we're wearing the Red uniforms again.

Season on the line here, put up or shut up. Put your big boy pants on and let’s fuck these pansy ass, flopping, no good, four flushing, anal bead licking muthafuckas up their asses with the Blazers cock of justice!

If we can foul far less often and if we can hit shots that we had been hitting coming into this series then we can beat this Lakers team. It would also be nice if we could hold onto some rebounds. Those are our keys to not losing. The Lakers have also been doing a really good job of speeding us up, so when they get the ball out of Dame's hands our other guys just need to run some sets and not blindly and hurriedly (yes that's a word) try to get some low percentage shot off. That's not going to work for us. So pretty much we haven't shown enough composure and sure the Lakers get credit for putting us in bad positions but when they haven't we've still been frantic. Lets hope our guys can pull their shit together and win this game... this is a must win and we've been pretty good in those situations during this bubble thing.

He needs to grow his nuts back and attack the paint, he’s putting up weak shit at the rim and not backing down smaller players. He needs to fucking rebound too.

At some point you have to ask if his injury changed the trajectory of his career. I can't begin to guess if he is in constant pain, or if he is just scared of his own body.

We don't know what the problem is, but we can all see the results.

He’s obviously got a lot on his plate with his family rn, but he is playing scared. There’s no reason he shouldn’t absolutely wreck KCP on the block.

I would have liked to see the white jerseys for a game as important as this one. Going down 3-1 in this series will make the next game a simple formality.

Fact- Dame is not handling the ball well at all. He admitted this fact. The Lakers are pushing him to his right and he is forced to move or pass out of the trap using his left. Best option here is to use another way to advance the ball putting 1M or CJ in the precarious position of having to run the offense. Trent doesn't have the skills yet either. This is when the loss of players like Curry hurts the most. (I understand WHY he is gone don't bother)

Fact- The Blazers Bigs are getting out worked and out hustled under and around the rim. Gabriel brings energy but is a walking foul machine. Davis and Lebron are going to continue to punish them and when they get into foul trouble they will have to back off at contesting shots. Maybe the refs could call the game a little closer on the other side? Howard for some reason has found his game again. They need to punish him and put him on the line. We all know he can get in his own head. They also would be best to make his every move hurt a bit. He obviously does not like contact. He gets going on the refs.

----I would look for Melo to distribute a bit better but that has never been his strong suit. When he posts up there has been multiple times when an open shooter is available. Trent in particular. He needs to be the vet he is and see the court better.

----Nurk needs to man up a bit. We have said this for years now. No more namby pamby flip shots and soft touch moves around the rim. Go hard to the basket and draw a foul. After you draw the foul then flip it toward the rim and see if you can draw a three point play.

----The Lakers are fronting Whiteside so the lob is available. They could spend some time fine tuning this. An easy 6-8 points on lobs could really help open things up.

----Blazers need to make good decisions on the court. Way too many bad decisions and failed possessions. You have to make every possession count against a superior team. They can win this game but they have to play a great game. When you play a 7 game series the best team usually wins. To stay in the series the Blazers must play better all around ball. The little things really matter.

Bottom Line- Blazers need this game. If they can tie up the series obviously anything can happen.

well, game 3 was the last one of the series I'll see

we are taking off for a 2 week camping trip tomorrow to SE Oregon. Won't be back till the 4th of Sept. Won't even have cell service where we are going

sorry to miss the rest of the series and the possibility of Portland making a comeback, even though that seems pretty remote right now. But these camping trips mean a lot more to me personally than watching sports on TV

so I won't be around polluting thread for a while guys...you lucksacks

The Steens?

If we can win game 4, it will be due to a change made that was effective.

If this adjustment works and we win, we take the series in 6.

what might the adjustment be?

Go small. Start Trent and put him on Lebron and get Lebron frustrated and a non-factor.

Dame
CJ
Trent
Melo
Nurkic

Whiteside spells Carmelo or CJ
Next, insert Gabriel for Nurkic for a burst of energy

This will turn up our defensive pressure a bit.

My bet is he goes back to Nurk/Whiteside starting. It worked last game for the most part. Blazers held their own until they had to go small because of foul trouble. The lakers went to the line constantly in the first half.

The Steens?

Hart Mountain Antelope Refuge....leaving in about an hour or so. Might take a day trip over to the Steens; haven' been there for 3 years or so. Might take another day trip down to Sheldon Refuge in Nevada

beautiful country if you appreciate high desert mountains and like seeing wildlife. Rough country though; carrying two spare tires for both pickup and 5th wheel. Also a spare bottle of vodka....medicinal purposes of course
