Yeah it's rough man because that family in Kentucky isn't the target audience, if this message reached them, it wouldn't actually reach them but only reinforce their deep seeded position... just like preaching to the choir is doing, like you are saying. What this can do is strengthen the resolve of the base that are hearing the message and possibly push people in the right direction that are indifferent or conflicted on these issues.

What I'm seeing today that's different is that everytime a black person is shot by police...it brings up probably dozens of panic attack memories for black people...everyone from that community has been close to that and the horror of having that fear fill you up in one instance must be a living hell. It certainly impacts us all but not like it impacts people of color I'm not forgetting or watering it down

Agreed, the players were most likely not backed by the league and owners like it's been depicted in the media, the players had to make a tough decision if they keep the cameras and mics on them in the bubble or try to make ripples by ending the playoffs and being silenced. They chose to keep playing and have a voice. I'm not going to question their reasoning, people who don't have the decision to make, far too often trivialize the plight of others who are faced with these hard decisions. Neither decision would have had the kind of impact they wanted to make so they chose the thing that they decided would be best for them and the movement. If you are questioning the players dedication to the movement, that's your prerogative, but that's a really slippery slope and a pretty serious accusation from an unreliable vantage point.

Yes, mods moved my serious post from this thread. Apparently, this thread is only to talk about schedule changes or something.

I excerpted so that you don't have to read the whole article. Kushner sure has the gall, after marrying into wealth.

Good to see the push for voter engagement, after the mini-bombshell buried in the ESPN article about the players union having data showing that a very low percentage of the league is registered to vote. (I wonder how much that is affected by foreign players, or whether that's accounted for?)
