I just wish he had added: "And next year with a few adjustments to personnel and to our offensive and defensive schemes, we will do even better!"

I usually stick with young players too long. I figured I'd go the other way this time. I'm prepared to face the severe consequences of being wrong on the internet.

I only caught Game 1, including the seeding games. I did not consider this as a legitimate end to the season.

Your loss then. Sorry man. Dame did something only a few players have done. And then he did something else only he and Wilt Chamberlin did.
It was phenomenal and Dame cemented his name as one of the superstars in the league, even if he is only the lower half of the list. Lol.
He also cemented himself as the greatest Blazers ever in the eyes of many.

    And?

The Wilt thing combined non bubble and bubble games. Did it in and out.

Bubble is, in my view, an exhibition.

Locked in a cage to fight by their billionaire masters to salvage their revenue.

I won't be watching if its not a live crowd and games are being played at the Moda Center.

but what if this is the new norm? Haven't you wanted massive change in our society? This may be a permanent biproduct to an improved healthy society.

If those changes are permanent, maybe after a few seasons I'll take it seriously.

But I can't think that a sudden restart in isolation after a 4 month break where players can opt of competition is a legitimate continuation to an NBA season.

fair enough. Plus you have that “ who gives a shit” la mindset where Portland fans are freakishly invested emotionally. Lol.

I am very proud of this year’s Blazers season, especially when you look at all the adversity involved (injuries, Covid, etc) but once the season went on hiatus I (though I hate to admit it) lost interest in general. While I think we had a vague shot at a ring, I believe with all my heart (For reasons stated in an earlier post) that LA is this year’s chosen champion. And I’m fine with that, because if Portland had won it all this year, there would have been an eternal asterisk attached due to it being a “pandemic season”(and not a “real” season). I personally hate asterisks (AKA “excuses”). Let LeBron (rather than Dame) have that little distraction on his record. All an asterisk did was cause Roger Maris pain for the rest of his life. We don’t need that shit. Just sayin’.......

nice post...and "the chosen" champion certainly fits after some of the refereeing going on.

    I can live with that.

No fans in attendance = exhibition.
