Re: "Can I keep my Jersey?" - Paul Shirley <div align="center"></div> I picked this book up last week and just started reading it, it's great if you want to learn more about what it's like for a journeyman. Shirley's a pretty smary, funny and sarcastic guy who makes it fun to read. I've only read two chapters and I've learned alot about the NBA... - Shareef Abdur-Rahim is a nice guy. - Shirley talks about how most of the players that have religious tattoo's are completely hypocritical and that their actions hardly mesh with 'their faith'. And he makes interesting comments on how most of the religious players are the stupidest. - Shirley talks about how NBA guys aren't usually the brightest, and tells stories of NBA players that didn't know what basic words were, including 'oral', and a story where there was a debate in the lockeroom over how many states there were in the US. Really interesting book, check it out.

Re: "Can I keep my Jersey?" - Paul Shirley Just picked up this book today at Books-A-Million.. the part where they say that Amare Stoudemire was debating about politics one time in the locker room made me chuckle a bit.
Re: "Can I keep my Jersey?" - Paul Shirley I just picked this book up last night when my sister got Harry Potter

Re: "Can I keep my Jersey?" - Paul Shirley I love this book, he's telling us like it is. Although he is negative about certain things, and sometimes I do wonder if he has any skill at all or wants to mention why he wants he doesn't like his teammates but yet keeps fighting back, it makes the book even more interesting. Great find BCB.
Re: "Can I keep my Jersey?" - Paul Shirley How much is this book? If I can find it I'll get it but sh*t idk any book stores around here. If it ain't on the net or ain't anything to do with sports or school I'm not a reader...

Its not like he had to search far, in fact if you ever go on ESPN he has been plugging his stuff for a while. Saying that, it is an alright book. He does seem a little full of himself at times, but aren't we all.
Re: "Can I keep my Jersey?" - Paul Shirley it was also in SLAM this month. They said it wasn't 2 great.

Re: "Can I keep my Jersey?" - Paul Shirley The guy is cynical, but that makes it all the more interesting because he's brutally honest about what he's going through... I got a question... to anyone who is past pg. 110, does he make the Hornets team for like a few days or did they just put the jersey on the cover just for show?? I don't really remember him playing for New Orleans.
