<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Desmond Mason is headed back to the place where he enjoyed his most success. The athletic swingman will sign with the Bucks on Monday.Mason will be introduced at a Noon EDT news conference. The 2001 Slam Dunk Champion, Mason played with the Bucks for two-plus seasons (2003-05). He averaged a career-high 17.2 points in his final campaign with the club, then was traded to the Hornets.</div>http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/472..._desmond_mason/<span style="font-family:Arial">Solid signing for Milwaukee, Although I wonder if Mason received the 8 million per year he was looking for. Either way, I like this signing for the Bucks. Desmond Mason is going to add a scoring boost and defensive presence. Watching Desmond Mason alot this season, I've learned that he's actually a very good defender. Probably the best on the Hornets roster.</span>

I honestly dont know why anyone would sign to the bucks. They are the cardinals of basketball. The last time they were in contension, my dad was learning his abc's.

If the Bucks are paying DMase the 8 mill per year that Tony was talking about, they'll deeply regret it. Never really liked Mason as an all-around player, he can't really create offense for himself, his jumpshot is ugly as sh*t, and he isn't a great man-to-man defender as most people think. The Hornets won't miss him at all - considering the fact they now have Mo Pete, and quite frankly even Devin Brown is an upgrade over than this guy. Desmond Mason's game is simply entertainment, other than that, he's worthless in any other aspect of the game.

What team would want that?-------------------------- Moving on, I LOVE this signing, Mason was 'THE' fan favorite in Milwaukee, he was great in the community, great with fans, good teammate, he brings what we need, a solid defender who doesn't need shots to be effective. WOO!

He definitely ISN'T a leader or a hustler. Fact is, the man does not deserve 8 mill per year.------------------------------------------------------------How would he even find playing time, being in the guards' rotation? The Bucks have Mo Williams, Michael Redd, Ruben Patterson, Earl Boykins, Charlie Bell, and Bobby Simmons.

Nobody said he was a lockdown defender, he's just solid. He's a good rebounder, he is a hustler (especially on defense) and he is a leader, especially with helping younger players. Fact is, it's a two year deal, if it's $8 million, I could care less considering we have so much cap room.

Desmond Mason is way too undersized to play SF.. he's like 6'4 ish. He would get abused by the taller SFs in the league.

Desmond Mason is 6'7" 225 pounds, and has a 7'0" wing-span . He played SF in Seattle, and in Milwaukee. He's a proven SF.

Besides, not a whole lot of teams have expressed interest in either of them.ESPN and NBA.com have Mason's height listed at 6'5, but whatever.

Us signing Mason means Patterson will not be back. Ramon Sessions is likely going to be our 3rd PG. Desmond Mason 6'7" 1/4 224 pounds, 7'0" wing-spanhttp://draftexpress.com/measurements.php?y...ft=30&sort= Mason has admitted to being taller than his listing in interviews.

You don't get any national TV exposure, and people don't know much about your game.</span>

I've seen Mason play, whenever the Hornets match up with the Wizards, or whenever the Bucks (when they had Mason) matched up with the Wizards. I still know how Desmond Mason plays, I've seen enough of him to give a decent scouting report.. he has a weird jumpshot, he can't create offense for himself, and relies on his athleticism 90% of the time to get him by on offense. He may be a 'solid' defender, but it's nothing to be proud about, and I still don't think he cleans the glass up particularly well for a SG/SF.

They are FA's....I don't get what your talking about. From what Larry Harris has said, he likes Ramon Sessions a lot and will be in the PG rotation, since Harris wants Bell playing PG, I'm assuming Sessions will be our third string.

In the regular season, he has a career average of 4.5 rebounds a game. In 02-03, he averaged right around 7 rebounds a game in the regular season, and in the playoffs. Those numbers may not be great, but they are very solid numbers for a SG/SF.

Well, the Pistons may still get Ruben Patterson, but solid signing by Milwaukee. Helps a little with the Jianlian pick, but not enough to forget him. Hey BCB, remember when the Bucks drafted Yi Jianlian? [IMG]

It's not like they have to get payed if no one signs them. Someone will though, because it's just too much talent to leave sitting in free agency.
