2 minutes is BS anyway. People talk at different paces. And there should not be 'out of time' in a debate of this magnitude.
Politicians that don't answer the question are squirrely. Pence is to aristocratic to me and Harris is a say anything get elected and now I know why didn't support her in the primary over a few others.
They have to structure it or it turns into a loud campaign speech with no balance. Pence didn't use his time well because he backtracked topics and didn't address the questions more often than not. Harris did that once that I saw...Pence did it most of the time trying to repair debate questions he lost not long ago.
What Harris did wrong in my view is smile too much...she started off smiling at everything but her message didn't match the facial expression early....later she settled down with a more serious tone
These "undecided" voters they interview before and afterwards are not undecided. It is very plain to see. Some are Trump voters some are Biden, none are really on the fence.
If people make accusations you should be able to respond without affecting your time for the next question. That is what makes a debate a debate. Seriously how important is it that people get back to Netflix right away.
this was as exciting as watching a football game that ends 7-6 Pence needed a big win, and he didn't get it...not even close. Harris played it safe, which I guess is a smart strategy....don't give your enemy an opening. nothing is changed by what happened tonight, except I have less vodka left in the bottle
I found Pence more deplorable than usual. GOP needs to appeal to more women-- that Pence performance did exactly the opposite. Harris needs to just do nothing. She was the vanilla she needed to be.
It was hard to listen to him talk. It was all disingenuous practiced talking points. He diverted back to rebutting past questions and then never really answered the questions at hand. He did make sure to praise fearless leader Trump though
he's a bible thumping serial liar who calls his wife, "mother." that's the best the GOP can offer? he did nothing to get any more women's votes tonight that they desperately need.
