Anyone else notice that while bragging about feeling 20 years younger and about being young and in perfect condition and wanting to do rallies, etc., Trump never mentions how his wife is doing?
Except maybe mosquitoes it's hard to think of any animal more universally disliked than flies. Who could have imagined a fly would become a Twitter star for showing up a vice president?
Crazy part here is the Stock shot up to $664 mid July. It's about $599 today. It was about $560 when the President came out and said he took it. Here is a statement from an article on this "Meanwhile, Trump also recently owned shares of Regeneron(REGN) -- as well as Gilead Sciences(GILD), maker of the antiviral drug remdesivir that the president is also taking. Both stocks were listed as assets on Trump's 2017 filing with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, though neither were holdings on the president's most recent filing for 2020." https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/05/investing/trump-regeneron/index.html "It has not yet been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, however. The FDA can approve the administration of it through so-called compassionate use requests on an individual basis. Regeneron confirmed to CNN Business that one of the president's doctors made such a request to Regeneron and the FDA to approve administering the drug to Trump." "We are on track to deliver 300,000 doses by the end of the year and...produce 300,000 doses a month while the demand may even still exceed that," Yancopoulos said. "If the drug is really working and having the effects that we all hope it would, it could be doing a lot of good for a lot of people." They don't even know that it really works??? Now if you give me a little leeway here? I am wondering if the Trump Organization still owns this? We all know he has sidestepped the "Blind Trust" by maintaining it within his family and then allowing his family access to the Whitehouse. This all seems a little too easy? I am just a little person on this big world. Wouldn't this be the first question someone in the middle of checks and balances would ask? Is this how he plans to cover $400 million in Debt?
No Dems wanted it based on the amount of people effected and unemployment claims But Reps wanted it based on who voted for whom? They want it allocated by who is the Governor and what party they belong to in each state. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/10/08/a-b...ill-is-actually-a-bailout-of-blue-states.html
Thing is, Republicans know they are going to be trounced in November. In fact Trump and other Republicans seem to be doing everything they can to repel swing voters. Trump is petty and vindictive, he would take the country down to punish us for not appreciating him. McConnell cares only for power. For the past two years the Senate has done virtually nothing but pack courts with hard right judges. He now has chance for a hard right supreme Court majority that he hopes will continue to guarantee minority rule. That's his priority, not relief for little people. I'm sick and tired of reading things by neurotic psychotic thick headed politicians All I want is the truth Just give me some truth John Lennon
I won't pretend to know what pork both sides buried in their respective bills. I know that $3 trillion is one hell of a lot of money. So is $1.6 trillion, but it looks paltry by comparison. I also know that the first rounds of Covid relief/stimulus cost over $2 trillion. Our current national debt is over $23 trillion. The GDP for last year was around $21 trillion. That means that if we worked for a year and put every single nickel made by everyone towards buying down the debt, we'd still be in debt at the end of the year. The Social Security trust funds had a depletion date of 2035 BEFORE Covid hit. There are a whole lot of folks and businesses not paying into it this year. I don't believe that either the Dems or Reps have a clue as to how to fix all of that. The Republicans love to run with the notion that if we just cut taxes enough the economy will be stimulated so much that we'll be rolling in the dough. The Democrats love to pretend that you can just tax the top 1-2% so much that everyone below can get freebies out the wazoo. Does any of that sound like a good way to run a government? I think we're screwed.
Trump is taking the country down. And as the election draws nearer and nearer and as he goes down further and further, his needs outweigh those of the country and he will take the Republican party and the country down into ruin in a desperate attempt not to lose. It's the same pattern that Hitler followed. That and there will be a bevy of pardons in the few days before he retreats to his bunker.
