I keep seeing people posting "the reason I vote" is because "pedophilia is not a sexual preference". When did this become open for debate, and who are the idiots who actually believe it was an issue for anyone??
Truthfully, it has come solely from my uber conservative friends and family, so I should have realized it.
is an argument used by some ultra conservatives that point to the likely progression of same sex equality and marriage laws leading to legalization of sexual desires currently considered perverse including bestiality and pedophilia.
Yep i have some also. They are full on thinking babies are being taken at birth to feed satanists and sold into pedophilia by the the Hollywood elites and Politicians that are backing Black Lives Matter and the Anti-Fascists.
I'm not a particularly glum person, but it's hard not to notice how flawed mankind is and has always been. We CANNOT help but believe and actual base our actions on that which we can neither see nor prove. It is a monumental obstacle in our progress. Something within us allows us to believe wholeheartedly and passionately in something that has no basis in reality, OR evidence to support. How about the Salem Witch Trials? How about every bizarro thing leveled at the Jews: pogroms, genocide, accusations of blood libel, etc? When I was kid, my mom thought D&D was devil worship... So maybe it's our religious gene: endless and complete dedication to that which we have no firsthand knowledge nor proof of. People kill and are killed for this stuff. Many of us believe in angels and demons and spirits and essentially zombies, so is this QAnon support really that surprising? Aren't the pedovores (look it up; humans are crazy) and pedophiles just the bad guys and QAnon the good guys? Because there just HAS to be a force of great EVIL and a force of great GOOD; look at all our religions, all our literature, all our arts, all of our wars, and now, it seems, our political parties...
I've deleted a few QAnon nuts recently. One kept saying his account was getting suspended for supporting Trump, but really it was for spreading conspiracy theories.
There's some strange-assed people in this world. While I've never run into the sort you describe, I once met a couple who believed that Blacks were genetically inferior and shouldn't be allowed to live with Whites. This couple was Asian. I forget, either Vietnamese or Filipino. I've also met a couple of different people who believe that Martians are walking among us.
Isn't Trump the one named in court filings for raping a 14 year old recruited by Epstein? Trump supporters need to be taken to one of the Dakotas where they can live away from the rest of us...
There’s a lot of stupid ass people out there that think that they’re like cutting edge or something. Case in point the fact that some people voted for Trump and continue to support him
I remember watching an episode of Law & Order: SVU and there was some crazy pedophile trying to explain that he should be part of a protected class like LGBTQ+. Obviously Olivia almost murdered him.
Do you feel like people view pedophiles the same way they view gay or trans people? Not that I'm saying that sleeping with children should be viewed the same way as sleeping with consenting adults, but gay rights and trans rights have advanced quite a bit in the last 10-20 years. People don't pep up and fight for pedophile rights. We still view people who are attracted to children as disgusting. Men especially are viewed as dangerous and male teachers are treated vastly different from female teachers in terms of being able to be alone with students at school. So what I mean is that gay rights have been celebrated and embraced as something they're born with and something that should be recognized. Nobody wants to be recognized as being a pedophile. Even if someone were to be completely in control of their pedophilia, people are scared of them.
The only people I have ever heard make a comparison about that, are the people who try to imply that gay men would be child molesters. I'm confused by what why you made the post? You didn't really make an argument to back up what you said.
The only comparison that I'm making is that we seem to accept that gay people are born that way, or trans people are born that way, and that's just the way they are. It's not their fault. But that's not how we view pedophiles. We treat them like it's their fault they were born that way. Even if we acknowledge that it wasn't a choice, we don't treat them that way. Sorry if that's not how my post came across.
