I object to the risk they pose health care workers.

You should change your masks after a certain number of wearings/washings. Burning them is a good way to ensure used, defective masks are no longer used.

...lol...yeah, a group of Floridians who refuse to wear masks, decided to meet for a "group burn" of masks they never used in the first place...(rolls eyes)

Speaking of washing masks, DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER OR DRYER SHEETS WHEN YOU WASH YOUR MASKS. It makes it harder to breathe through them.

Dr Fauci warns that early COVID-19 vaccines will only prevent symptoms from arising - not block infection
    • Dr Anthony Fauci cautioned that early COVID-19 vaccines are aimed at preventing symptoms during Yahoo Finance's All Markets Summit on Monday
    • 'If the vaccine allows you to prevent initial infection, that would be great,' he said. '[But] the primary endpoint [is] to prevent clinically recognizable disease'
    • At least four vaccine candidates are currently in late-stage clinical trials
    • Fauci has said he is cautiously optimistic that a vaccine will arrive by year end
    • But he warned that early vaccines may only be 50 to 60 percent effective

Throwing used masks away is fine, no need to burn them.

...I doubt people with be actively rummaging through trash cans with hope of find a used mask to wear.

Don't use them ever, they are super toxic. To prevent static cling, crumple a ball of aluminum foil and put in dryer. You can keep using it until the cat decides it's a toy and runs off with it.

Trump says yes, as long as the cause of death is listed as asphyxiation and not covid.
