Since then, the rumors have died down.Pacers' president, Larry Bird, did not say O'Neal would definitely return to the team next season. Re: O'Neal trade rumors are dying and Bird is happy Yeah the whole idea of players becoming GMs after there careers has really ruined the NBA because those former players seem to not be interested in doing any good deals with any of there old teams rival. Such as Bird with LA, Mchale with LA.
