i think there is a lil more than that actually, retained the senate while defending 22 seats, majority for the next apportionmemnt and gained seats in congress. i dont think Trump was the right person to get them to where they want to end up, but he did a couple of things for sure - rallied republicans, pulled in some key voting segments, reminded many people that extremist hot takes on either side is a bad idea (and with biden i hope there is a more centrist discussion channel available - even seen on this board, I believe this X, you dont? ok Hitler.) I still have hope for the USA, the biggest challenge imo is the media, how people use it, and what it promotes and how it shapes. less is more.
