To me if olshey went that direction and moving Simons to the 2 then olshey must saying Trent at 3 maybe Zach at the 5 and who knows who be at the 4. That group right there can push the ball because Lewis really fast and looks like Morant from the Grizzlies. But we will see but also wouldn't rule out that pick.

Yeah Haliburton actually got skills. He got a solid all around game. Ball meanwhile got too many questions, doesn’t really have any skills. About the only thing he can say he does well is passing the ball, but that’s literally it

how is that not a skill? And he’s gonna do it better than 99% of the league.

Givony was on Lowes podcast and was saying most of the guys that he’s evaluated with similar traits as Edwards usually end up being busts. Also really down on his lack of competitiveness/toughness. Said teams are also having similar concerns with Wiseman, to a lesser degree. He also said teams are unanimous in thinking Ball is THE guy, that it’s him and then everyone else.

My prediction is that Edwards, Wiseman, and Ball all turn out to be disapointments - though maybe not to the same degree.

There are 2 players that I want to be Trailblazers in this draft...SF Saddiq Bey and PF Prescious Achiuwa!

Bey gives us the 3 and D guy we've all wanted much like Trevor Ariza but only 21! Prescious, his energy is contagious but he's also skilled as well and has a chance to be an ELITE defender!

If anyone would do it, it’s olshey. But a trade up in the second seems more...realistic?

I've seen this mentioned in other mock drafts, why does he keep getting compared to Simons? Prep to Pro? He played 2 years at junior college.

Somebody described him as a taller Jason Williams, and now I want to watch him play. Just not for the Blazers.

yeah I’d guess that junior college and a place like IMG aren’t looked at too differently. Both a steep dip in competition. Another similarity between Scrubb and Simons are the pre draft links to Portland. Multiple interviews/workouts. It’s noteworthy because you almost never hear anything outta Blazers camp about meeting a guy multiple times. In recent memory, Simons is really the only one that comes to my mind.

The only real counter to that is this year is unlike any other draft year in terms of the way the prospects can be evaluated. There will probably end up being several prospects that get multiple phone calls and workouts.

My counter to your counter is that unlike years past, teams aren’t going to meet face to face with a guy unless they’re actually serious, considering all the covid protocols they have to go through just to get there.

Fwiw, Hollinger says he’s heard OKC has promised Pokusevski, but that he’s unlikely to be there at 25.

Here’s a thought, what if OKC traded with Portland? We get Miami’s first rounder that OKC owns next year in a stacked class + #25 this year.
