Thunder turned an aging Westbrook on a supermax into Oubre (expiring), Rubio (who is decent), 3 first round picks and 2 pick swaps. What a haul.
The deal gives the Suns a nice Big 3, at least on paper. Paul, Booker and Ayton should be a really good nucleus, with the caveat that Paul has to stay healthy and he's had a tough time doing that. The Suns are going to have to do a lot of filling in since the roster is now pretty thin, but I suspect that they have some moves in mind. The Thunder look like they'll be taking a step back.
There's always one thing that we can depend on as a Blazer fan. Fans always over-reacting to trades other teams make.
The very first trade to be announced, before the draft and before free agency, and already people are in the "Blazers aren't going to do anything"panic mode.
I think we have to be legitimately concerned about Phoenix. They were by far the hottest team of the bubble. Adding CP3 to that roster is a pretty good boon for them if he can stay healthy.
I’m wondering what Dame thinks about this trade? I know he has always liked Booker. Now you add Chris Paul.
I still really like Bridges too. But I wonder if the Suns weren't better off with Rubio at the helm? They did end the year 10-1 with him.
When is this guy who started this thread going to finally CONCEDE that we were already discussing this in another thread. Just admit you LOST bro.
Oh, I agree that Phoenix is a threat. On paper, this move makes them better since CP3 can shoot and Rubio is a bit challenged in that department. Still, he's long in the tooth and has never been known for durability. My comment related to the immediate triggering by the very first trade of the "Portland ain't doing crap" posts.
When are you going to admit that you would be the most happy if every single post was added to the Melo thread?
