Awesome. This feels like a new pickup vs a re-signing. Hood will be important for the Blazers this year.
He would have played himself into a bigger contract had he not gotten hurt. He was balling before his injury. I really hope he can come back strong this year.
if he's as good as he was last year he's worth 10 mil/yr. If he's not, then we don't pick up his guarantee. He's worth the risk to evaluate him for a yr, since this neither puts us into the tax, nor does it take away our MLE.
Really glad that I saw that Meyers had re-signed with the Heat. Otherwise, that MLE in the bottom right corner would have scared the crap out of me.
We have 11 guys on the roster if you include Elleby. Still with the full MLE, BAE, and vet mins left to round out the roster.
Quick Question for the capologists: After the season, can't we trade Hood for a player that earns $10 mil, and then that team can option out, saving them $10 mil in cap space? Isn't this what Miami is doing with all of it's FAs this offseason?
Millsap has said he's going to take his time in free agency, waiting for it to "shake out". So, if it's Millsap, we'll have to wait.
