That is the vet min for players with ten or more years of experience.

So the BAE is still available to use and we are not at the apron yet.
Who do we want for that?

I like him but I don’t think Stotts would trust him to run the second unit anymore than Simons so not sure

I like bringing back Nic..... he could play backup point guard but he could play multiple positions.

With that said, the guy was absolutely awful last year. He had a massive drop off from 2018-2019 to 2019-2020.

Ibaka got the exact same deal as DJJ, sucks not being a FA destination.

They could sign both of us. No need for the extra roster spot. I'll let them buy me out if they want. Or they can just have 2 for 1.

From what I have read, he's a center now. We have no use for him.

Okay, all of this Shaq Harrison chatter, so I had to go look up some of his game film due to seeing so little of him playing for the pathetic Bulls.

He certainly improved his 3-point shooting this last year. Would hope that isn't an aberration. How much PG can he play or at least be a playmaker?

I want a scrappy defensive pg who can pass the ball, I’m not even worried about one who can score.

No we don’t but I find it hard to believe DJJ was number 1 on the Portland FA board. I’m actually not down on the signing as I don’t expect top tier FAs to come to Portland, it very rarely happens.

No, we don't know that he chased him.

We do know, however, that the Clippers were a better team last year, are in a more desirable location, and are expected to be contenders this season, so it's highly probable that no amount of chasing would have resulted in Ibaka choosing the Blazers.

I doubt they go into the tax this year. This is the year for Portland to 'reset' to avoid the more severe repeater tax.

could be, although that reset actually takes a couple of seasons out of the tax. It's a rolling 4 year period that's the gauge

prior to Melo, I had the Blazers at around 129M. His salary charge would put them about 2M below the threshold. So if they are avoiding the tax, the BAE is dead for now. They could squeeze in another vet minimum or Gabriel. They might actually a little more room because the salary number for Nurkic is all over the place
