??? I'm not tracking several posters today.

If he is renounced, his cap hold disappeared. spotrac still has him, I assumed because his potential contract increase our trade options.

Jesus...the fact that our minimum player has a 20 minute highlight tape from last year is a great sign haha

Great pickup!! I was calling for this a couple of hours ago. No risk in taking a chance on Giles. Awesome

I think there are cultural differences in the nba and readers of Harry Potter.

It is going to be nice to have another big that can pass in the 2nd team, Nurk distributing with the starters, Giles doing the same with the reserves.

Giles is a very good talent when healthy. I'd actually like to see him start at the 4.

Tremendously talented! Has great vision and handles. But it's the health issues that are why he was let go. Missed almost 2/3rds of possible games so far early in his career. If healthy, and with a bit more range, would be one of the most talented 4's in the league.

Its only a minimum contract though. If he ends up doing well, how would we be able to retain him.

Let's throw Hickson and Robinson in there for good measure!

Feel kind of sorry for Gabriel. He really played with a lot of heart and hustle during his brief time in Portland. On paper Giles may be worth more, but in reality he is likely to be this season's Pau Gasol. If some of the remaining FAs (Saric, Hernangomez) wind up signing cheap, this is going to look really foolish.

Saric is definitely intriguing. I would very much have been down with the Blazers pairing him with RoCo in our starting frontcourt.

Just like we retained Hoodie...guys also tend to want to stay here...I think Portland is easy for players agents to deal with...we paid Hoodie peanuts to come here...then gave him a raise and longer deal

A Collins/Nurk bandaid....so Rio wouldn''t have to play the post

I would've loved to get Dario Saric, too, but I'm guessing he'll end up getting more than we were ever able to offer. He would fit very nicely in a starting 5 with Dame, CJ, Nurk, & RoCo.
