Actually, according to this, contracts can be signed at 12:01 pm EST today, which is 9:01 am PST. “When does NBA free agency start in 2020? NBA free agency will kick off Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. ET. Teams will be permitted to contact free agents or their representatives at that time. Players will be allowed to officially sign contracts with teams starting Nov. 22 at 12:01 p.m. ET.”
Kind of odd. The guy isn't anything special, but I find it hard to believe nobody offered a multi-year deal.
If he could still play PF, I would be all in favor of that. Aldridge is way past his prime and is at the point he is best suited to play center. We don't need to shell out an 8 figure salary for a back-up center!
kanter deal also not yet announced, which happens when you have multiple teams involved. this may play into the Melo and Giles situations.
oh then maybe it came across before the moratorium. Too much going on to keep tracking it all. I only work 70 hours/week so I don’t keep up on everything.
I don’t remember breakfast, let alone two days ago. Why could Kanter deal be announced as official but not RoCo? Draft picks?
I think it had to do with the fact that Ariza was bring redirected multiple places with S&T's involved.
Because of limited Cap Space, a lot of players signe 1-year deals or 2-year deals where the 2nd is a player option. Next year, more teams are expected to have cap space so more money to be spent on players.
