    As long as it is on offense. On defense, it's just as lopsided the other way. And remember, Dame spoke so highly of Meyers at Draft time. Appreciate the loyalty, but sometimes it is blind.

    I actually liked Gabriel. For spot minutes. I think he could be a disruptive defender. I mean he was a pest to Anthony Davis before he’d pick up tons of fouls real quick.

    But I don’t think he’ll ever be a real meaningful player outside of just spot minutes.

    And for that, I’m out.

    Gabriel will not be what he "Can Become" this year. We need a player that can effect a game off the bench RIGHT NOW.

    Your argument has no merit at all. Gabriel is a dime a dozen player.

    How did this discussion get from Gabriel v Giles to Gabriel v Melo?

    IMHO, Melo has zero to do with this. We dumped Gabriel (and buried Little) in favor of Oden 2.0. Whatever theoretical value Giles might have is eclipsed by his injury concerns. Signing him was not a "win now" move. This was more taking on a charity case.

    Giving up on a 22 yr old who has played just 100 games while having produced in Giles seems silly. Same with Collins.
