What's there to say about this guy? Best of luck in Sacramento.

    Minimum.

    Minimum.

Hassan is barely worth the minimum.

Nah, for all the shit we talk, he did what he was supposed to do while he was here. He was a band aid. We wouldnt have even been in a position to make the playoffs without him. I don’t even think we won a game he was inactive, and if we did it couldn’t have been more than one.

I've got no problem with Hassan....although he's no offensive rebounder...we sucked at that when he was on the court. Wish him well....he's rich and young and lucky in my view...also seems like a heartfelt guy. I'll remember him first arriving and buying donuts for the homeless in downtown Portland....thanks for being here Hassan!

Whiteside was like the second or third best offensive rebounder in the league last season. if anything that was more of a scheme issue since Stotts doesn’t like having multiple guys crash the offensive boards.

I feel a little bad he put up those stats with us and got a 1 year min. He must have really burnt all the bridges or something.

Well he dominated for me in fantasy, I don’t see why he won’t do that again

I think his play off the bench (or lack thereof) really soured his value. Regardless I would have signed him for the vet min.

He must have been a problem for his team - they didn’t like him and as a result he was shunned

Whiteside is a flawed player with a skillset showing some obsolescence in the modern NBA

but the Blazers would have been top-10 in the lottery without him (maybe that would have been a good thing). I didn't want him back but some of the animosity about Whiteside around here seems way over the top

Whiteside did his job while he was here, and had a good attitude about it. He has a certain skill set, and does it well. He also has limitations. That's just the way it is. He helped us last season while Nurk was out, and I give him props. I hope he has a great career from this point forward. I see no reason for any possible ill will towards the guy. I hope he stays healthy and continues to do his thing and gets paid along the way. Safe travels.

Hassan Whiteside is absolutely lazy. It was obvious in many games this year. If he wanted to make money this offseason he would have busted ass coming off the bench when Nurk came back. If he showed he could do that he wouldn’t be getting the minimum

Doesn’t the dude have like 100+ mil already. I mean when does it not really matter anymore? I’m surprised he just didn’t retire instead of playing for a min, proves to me he actually likes playing and it isn’t all about the money to him.

I kind of agree with this even Meyers got a way better contract-

But this is a pretty good point-

I appreciate that he's not on the team anymore and that a dumpster fire signed him.

    I wish Hassan well!
If you look around there have a number of players milking one year contacts well into the 30's. Hassan will be around for another 5 years, laughing all the way to the bank.
