How far Democrats distance themselves from her shows how disconnected from reality they are. She's nothing but reasonable. She's constantly pushing back against both parties.

I disagree. How they distance from her shows how disconnected from reality a lot of the American public is. If getting close to her would be a winning formula - they would be all over it. Let's try to point the finger at the real culprit - the American people's will to believe what is wrong - and she says it loud and clear in the second tweet above.

Unfortunately - and this is something some people on the left are unwilling to accept - the USA population is a very large ship to turn around. Anyone that thinks it can be easily maneuvered like a white-water raft is going to be very disappointed. That's why Biden won the Democratic nomination - his center / leaning left position is one that is much easier to sell to the American public, even if what AOC, and Bernie et al say actually makes a lot of sense, logically.

That ship will be much easier to turn around when baby boomers pass on.

I’m not saying I want them to pass. Just that it’s the truth.

I suspect it will be easier, much easier tho, I kind of doubt it, but maybe you are right. Will be interesting to see what it looks like in 10 or 20 years.

I started seeing the ridiculous price gouging of college while I was in the middle of getting my degree. I can only imagine it's much worse now.

As a father to a college kid with another one waiting in the wings, I can assure you that it is absurdly expensive.

I have started referring to the kids as Ferrari and Maserati...

I always thought that Tiffany and Candy are stripper names, where Ferrari and Maserati are exotic Italian car names. Maybe you kids with your Nintendo Wiis and fancy texting changed it, I don't know. Just get off my lawn. ;)

She has raised over $200K for Corona virus relief. Moscow Mitch sure hasn't.

And on the other hand, the right's obsession with her is just weird. Any of the rare times I turn on Fox, she seems to be the topic of discussion, like she IS the Democratic Party or something.

My GOP friend thinks she is our hero, but I don't know anyone that really thinks about her all that much. Do you?

    She's an easy target because she's A: young B attractive C: female D: aggressive/calls people on their shit/not a stepford wife.

Add into that that she's from NY and holy crap, she's the anti-christ!

The GOP good old boys are scared shitless of a liberal hispanic New Yorker who's smarter than they are and fearless.....she's their worst nightmare...a confident young woman with ideas that expose greed and male dominated politics in general. Racism and sexism in one target....that's what this young lady represents to a certain segment of the Republican male contingency...I'm glad women and young people of diverse backgrounds are a growing part of govt
