With certain releases from the UFC MMAjunkie has asked the question for who is the best UFC Fighter to have never won a Championship. This is about the UFC, so fighters who never fought in the UFC like a Fedor does not count. Additionally, fighters who went on to win championships elsewhere are eligible for the poll because they did not win with the UFC. For the purposes of the poll I am counting interim championships as a championship.
Good choices on this list. Nate Diaz, Donald Cerrone, Chael Sonnen, Chad Mendes could also be mentioned. I'm inclined to say that Urijah Faber is the most shocking one. Dude had a million chances.
I honestly forgot about Faber. A solid pick. Former WEC champion, challenged for the championship on a few occasions. Faber would probably be my second choice behind Dan Henderson. Hendo had so many highlight reel knockouts, especially the Bisping KO. Had several great fights like the ones against Rua. Held two belts in Pride. I always looked forward to a Dan Henderson fight. Dude kind of screwed himself out of a second fight with Silva where anything may have happened.
Hendo and Romero tie for me. Both should have been champs, in my eyes. I think Hendo beat Bisping in his last fight and I think Romero bested Whittaker in their 2nd fight.
