    I would love to see how well 538 has predicted the Blazers record for the last 5 years. My recollection is that they have sucked.

    Sadly, we almost always seem to get off to a bad start....even with the continuity we have enjoyed most seasons. As for new pieces and limited practice time, that describes most of the teams in the league so it should be a fairly level playing field.

    I wouldn't be surprised if we were 6th or 1st. We've been 3rd seed twice in prior 3 years with worse rosters.

    The LA teams might rest some of the regular season and not go hard for the 1 seed, especially the Lakers.

    So even if we get the 1 seed we arent favorites, I'd pick both LA teams, Denver Utah might beat us, and if Dallas is healthy they could be tough as well.
