The only thing I will miss about 2020 is the cute cat calendar a friend gave me. Sipping a lemontini (limoncello, vodka, dash lemon juice). Lucia has a saucer of milk. To a better year. Go Blazers.

2020 was a good year for my family. I had grand daughter born and my son came home from serving in the mideast. I know it wasn't great for many and Im happy 2021 is here!
This isn't a brag post, but I actually had a great 2020. Found out we were pregnant in September with our first child, and this month we bought a house AND I got a promotion. Maybe I just had a great autumn/beginning of winter, but I'll look back at 2020 as mostly positive for me.
I've had a ton of nights with anywhere from 1-5 hours of sleep, no naps, etc. I feel like it will at least help a little bit.
I'm sure it will be the same for me. This boy isn't even here yet, and there's already nothing I wouldn't do for him. We're both 35 and realize this was supposed to happen for us. It's a place we both wanted to get to in the past, but it didn't work out with previous relationships, and now we'll have a home and a new branch on the family tree. Plus, birth control was no match for my super sperm.
2020 was good for me. 6 month contracting role has extended into 18 months through until middle of 21 with management wanting to adopt all my strategic vision stuff for the company and implement etc more cash too. NZ has been largely untouched by c19 - i think maybe 25 ish dead total. we're a pretty realistic bunch and everyone did their part to lockdown hard n break the link, it was the govt that fucked things up with their border security and quarantining that set us back a lil with a community outbreak but we took another for the team n got thru it. but everyone is also pretty much like, well we did our part, fuck these other rules - masks on pub transport etc but not required at work and out at night, bars are open, sport is happening, no masks etc I know it has been devastating for many and my condolences are with you if you've been impacted in any way. '21 kicked off ultra shit with the news that MF DOOM died (although it was in Oct 20) but still, fucking weak start to 21.....
