<h3>Rockies, Dodgers continue abbreviated four-game series</h3>

DENVER (Ticker) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers look to continue theirsuccess against the Colorado Rockies when the teams continue afour-game series Saturday.


The two teams have not been in action since Thursday's 5-4 winby Los Angeles, as rain postponed Friday's contest. It will bemade up when the teams meet again in September.


The Dodgers have won 18 of their last 24 games against theRockies, including eight of 10 at Coors Field.


Los Angeles will pin its hopes of lengthening those successfulruns on Brett Tomko (2-7, 5.42 ERA), who has managed a 6-8 markand a 3.85 ERA against Colorado in 24 lifetime appearances,including 18 starts. He is just 1-5 with a 7.26 ERA in hiscareer at Coors Field.


Tomko, who is filling the rotation spot of Randy Wolf while heis on the disabled list, is making his third consecutive startfor the lefthander.


Countering for Colorado will be ace Jeff Francis (10-5, 4.22).The 26-year-old Canadian has not suffered a loss since June 8 atthe Baltimore Orioles, going 5-0 over his last eight starts.

Francis has had his problems recently, surrendering five runs ormore in three of his last four outings.
