I grew up on Concord two houses off Portland Blvd. The Alibi and Palms were in that area back in the early 50's. Also, liveed on Wolsey near Willamette Blvd across from Columbia Park.
Took my bike there yesterday for service, its getting a bit trending much like Mississippi did way back.
I still love NW. When in town, it's fun to grab a bite at World Foods, then hike to Pittock Mansion from McLeay Park.
I think Milwaukie has a great location and a nice mix of housing. The downtown area is nice and the close proximity to the river is really cool. Milwaukie built the first public school in clack county 1884, thanks to Lot Whitcomb's saw mill at the mouth of Johnson Creek. Where Pendleton Woolen mills was for years.
For some stupid reason this thread reminds me of a stupid joke........My girlfriend said to kiss her in a stinky place, so I drove her to Albany.................................................................................................
I get it but it seems to have improved some, I guess. Lents park is still a great park, there are a lot of homeless along 205 and foster area.
