SAN FRANCISCO (Ticker) - Barry Bonds is just one homer away fromjoining Hall of Famer Hank Aaron atop the record books.

Bonds will try to collect his 755th career blast when the SanFrancisco Giants meet the Florida Marlins in the second game ofa weekend series on Saturday.


The 43-year-old slugger inched closer to trying Aaron's all-timemark when he smacked on a 2-1 pitch to deep left-center fieldin Friday's 12-10 series opening win. He finished 1-for-1 withfour walks.


"It felt good, real good, but a win felt better. It's sinkingin now. The city is great, the fans have been fantastic," Bondssaid. "I don't know how to say thank you enough for them andthe city of San Francisco, not only for myself, but for theorganization. It's very hard to explain because I can't tellyou every emotion that's going through my body and everythingthat's going on."


It was the first homer at AT&T Park for the seven-time NationalLeague MVP since going deep in the fifth inning of a 4-1 victoryover the Arizona Diamondbacks on June 29.


Florida's Dontrelle Willis (7-10, 5.15 ERA) will try not to belinked to Bonds' historical chase. Willis goes in search of hisfirst win since May 29 - a span of nearly two months.

Last time out, the 25-year-old lefthander gave up four runs andnine hits in 6 2/3 innings in Monday's 4-3 setback at the handsof Arizona.


The Giants will counter with Matt Cain (3-12, 4.02), who hasdropped his last three starts. Most recently, the righthanderallowed four runs and six hits in 4 1/3 frames of a 4-2 setback.
