    One of my childhood best friends and his mom used to say redneck was the worst thing you could call a white person. I heard him call someone a redneck one day and his mom got super embarrassed and mad at him. I was confused because I never equated redneck as being bad at like 8 or whatever age I was.

    It was pretty enlightening researching the history behind it as I got older.
