Well I guess several of us saw this coming. Further proof, in my humble opinion, that the Raiders days of tolerating guys who step over the line are at an end. Back in the day players didn't get into the kind of trouble that today's players do.
It was possible in the 60's and 70's to have "trouble-makers" on the team and still win games. These days the trouble makers kill your team. If we have to relinquish being known as the last stop for the bad guys in order to win, then so be it.
Nothing changes the Raider tradition.

I think that those days have been over for a while. I think that the last guy to get popped for steroids was DE Chris Cooper, a few years ago. He was got suspended and was wearing a 49er's jersey the next season. If you recall, Chis Cooper and B. Romonowski's names were mentioned in the Balco case. Those guys were not on the team immediatly after that all went down. I think Romo just retired, but Cooper stayed in the league. The Raiders' position has always been to give people a chance, while making a new start for the silver and black, but to quickly dump them if they committed any offense while with the team.

Cooper is a coward for doing steroids. I don't care who you are but rules are rules, I'm glad the Raiders cut this bum.
