    After posting that i actually read around a bit further and now i read the Blazers have a bit more to work with due to the games that will be missed by Nurkic. Seems like they can afford a vets minimum at some level. Again i am not a cap guy. As i understand there are different levels of "Vets Minimum". So picking and choosing would be key right?
    Here is my point- Olshey better make some kind of move and fill the roster spot. It's why he kept it right?
    I also agree wholeheartedly that he better fill another spot with a PG. Maybe use the Two Ways on a PF and go after a rehab at PG who can take a minimum contract they can handle?
    He does this or this season is pretty much over but that is just the way i see it.

    Well maybe lower the expectations and root for the kid to succeed? If he has a rough couple games but improves every game this would be a very good thing for the team.
    The negativity on this board can be astounding?
    I'm here as a fan for him as long as he works hard and gives his all on the court.

    For that min spot we have a little over .5M in space between our current cap number and the luxury tax, the bonus Nurk will no longer receive is 1.25M. The vet min scale says that a player with 4 years experience has a min of just under 1.74M so we could afford anyone with 4 years experience or less without going into the repeater tax which seems to be completely off limits. FYI the min with vets at 5 years is just under 1.9M. So yeah we can sign a two way player which I have no idea why we haven't because that doesn't have an effect on the cap number and a min player with 4 years or less of experience. With our min the two best guys I could find were Zhaire Smith at PG and Ante Zizic at C. I'm sure others in here and the Blazers scouting staff could possibly find better. I have no clue about D-Leaguers available for 2-ways.

    Edit: All of the FA PFs that I know are over 4 years in the league.

    Nurk did come in out of shape and is bad around the rim. But when Nurk is in form his D alone makes him a far better player than Kanter.

    But we have entertainment that lasts all season. However, most teams would have fired him but Neil is the reason nothing was done from '18 to now. In regards to this matter, expect little from Blazers management.

    Giles looks a bit lost on offense the few times I’ve seen him play. Maybe that’s why Stotts isn’t playing him. You know Stotts is always going to favor offense over defense.
