Turned it on a 3-0 and saw the great Kakko goal. What a setup by diG.

Quinn looks like a genius so far tonight. Good to see the team playing well, winning FO's, and making some hits also. Buch looks really good as well. I like it.

Nice to see that pussy Buchnevich actually not suck for one game. Miller looked 1,000 times better in this game

What I liked is how this team responded for Quinn. Shows he still has their attention. Good stuff.

Maybe stick with Georgiev again on Tues. Tough as you don't want Shest to have too much time off but ride who wins from game to game for now.

Great rebound game, excellent breakouts with quick, crisp passing and Georgiev played a technical masterpiece with his positioning. Gotta give Smith credit for a good game and really getting under Barzal's skin, totally threw him off his game. Seems like the same posters who are saying Schneider won't be up next year were saying the same things last year about Miller who is clearly NHL ready.

Miller did play 2 years of college hockey so Schneider likely needs 2y before he arrives. Tougher for a 19 y/o dman to jump right in than a F.

Buchnevich still sucks. LOL. Let him prove me wrong all season. :) Miller looked smooth and like a completely different player. Georgiev owns the Islanders.

You would have to think G would start again against NJ. Hard to pull a guy after a calm and solid shutout.

I'll also add, one game, but Smith looked really solid last night. Sam praised him a few times saying he has been a real good Ranger and has done whatever has been asked of him as he enters his 4th full season here.

Not a breaking news flash or anything, but Lafreniere really is an impressive young player, with not only his ability but just the way he is around his teamnates. It's like he's 24 and been here 3y already.

When he gets his first goal, the confidence will be there.

Last nights game was how I expected this ranger team to play. Their young but very talented with a lot of offense, defense young and still a work of art with 2 very good goaltenders. As this team physically matures and is able to handle the rough stuff watch out! I think Schneider is up here and slides into smith’s spot next season. Miller looks good and at 6’5” and about 210 looks like a heavy skeleton. When he gets into a good weight training program and fills out to about 225 or so this kid will be scary!!

Schneider is one of those rare type defenseman that will not need much time to he's a pro. He's very advanced physically and mentally for a young defenseman. I expect him to be strong in the AHL right away.

I just looked at the schedule, and if the Rangers are going to be in legit play for the first few spots in the division, they need to have a good run here. The next 7 games are NJ, the Pens 4 times, and Buffalo twice. Then they host the Caps before one more game at NJ. So 7 straight, and 8 of the next 9, no Caps, Bruins, Flyers or Isles. That stretch is followed by 10 straight against those 4 teams. Now is the time for us to pile up some points if we are going to be a very good team.

I thought we agreed that our expectations for Rangers did not include a serious playoff push?

I didn't say that was my expectation - my hope but not my expectation. If they have any hope of finishing near the top of the division you would think they need to do well over the next 9 games. Laying out a path is not the same as saying I expect them to win the division and make a long run.
