Again, I've seen one picture of him in the hospital on the day of. So I will need a link to a story or tweet from him about him being in the hospital without practicing for several days, for me to believe that.

 

I just realized you actually link to the ref profiles. And apparently Petraitis favorite app is Peloton, despite him being an NBA ref that runs around for 3 hours every day. Apparently he’s just a cardio demon...

 

Also Tony Brothers was a programmer before becoming a ref. WTF

 

What site do you think has the best SOS measurement? How did you determine ours is one of the easiest?

Of the first three that came up on a Google search, none of them have us in the top 10 of easiest schedules. Not saying your claim is wrong, just curious how you came to it.

 

True story though. The first child is always a tougher issue than the next.

I was going to ask that question also. They have been in the middle all year except the first 5 games which had them in the hardest. But then i really dislike SOS because it can change so very quickly and it doesn't take into account of injuries or players being held out. Right now playing the Blazers is playing a team .571 winning percentage but they are missing three starters. Strength of schedule is a terrible stat. Also at the end of the year every team in the conference should have the same SOS but it doesn't work that way at all.

 

SOS is a dumb stat. If we had a worse record, our SOS would be stronger because the teams we lost to would have one more win.

Agreed... especially with a small sample size, the wins greatly impact SOS. Most importantly, it can't really take player availability into account. A team that plays us today is playing a much easier team than thos who played us 2 weeks ago.

I always wonder how people this early in the season can say we have one of the hardest or easiest schedules. Are we basing it off past years? I hope it's not off the dreaded "eye test".

I remember the defense of the Knicks teams under Pat Riley. The obvious strategy was: foul like crazy on every defensive possession and the officials will only call a fraction of the fouls

 

Could you be more half-glass empty? When we win the 2021 NBA Championship, you can tell me how we only have two titles and that more than the third of the league has won a championship in the last 30 years so it isn’t that impressive.
