Buch continues to be the best forward on the team. Great set up.
Another fucking Jackoff Johnson penalty... hope they can kill it off and keep the momentum going. Great start to the game for the Rangers.

Awesome job by Quinn giving Miller a shot, and playing him solid minutes in the top 4. Great job, keep it up Quinn.

The Sabres have one of the top 3 or 4 jerseys since they went back to the royal blue.

Another tough L. 2nd periods have killed us. Faceoffs were a huge issue tonight. Dominated in the circle. If we are ever to win consistently, that has to improve.

One other comment I'll add, if you aren't going to play DeAngelo late in the game when you need to score, or on the 1st PP, we should have let him walk for nothing. Killing any value he has right now. That's one thing I will get on Quinn for a little bit. Play DeAngelo to his strengths man.

Sucks that Chytil is out for 4-6 weeks but hopefully he makes a full recovery. No one else injured tonight. That's a win.
This team will finish last in the East, and they will likely finish with 38-43 points and a lottery pick.

    A 39-17 face-off disaster.

I'm almost to the point where I'm like sell off, get all the kids in to gain experience, and drop near the bottom to get one more top 3 pick before loading up this summer.

Ziban was 6 and 15 on FO's - 28.6%. This guy needs to wake up. I am probably more disappointed in him than anyone else through 6 games. Only caveat I add is he had Covid just before the season and was late to start camp. So maybe he gets a little pass for a slow start. But he's been pretty invisible.

He for certain had Covid? I know he was late to camp but, didn't look into it any further. if so, that explains a lot.

Trouba's contract could be a real problem sooner than later. Maybe the league will eventually give another compliance buyout after the Cap gets sorted out.

Maybe I am being overly optimistic, but I think Trouba will be fine. We'll have a very good young D, by next year it could be all young kids and Trouba, and I think he'll be a good 2nd pair RD for us. Yes paid like a 1st pair RD, but with the rest of the D making very little I think he'll be okay as a leader and a good solid dman. Just not a top guy worth 8 mill. That's my take on him.

Yeah maybe he's just in the short season fog and can get back to normal next year. Just frustrating to watch him some nights. Guess that's the whole team pretty much.

I hear you, and truth is he hasn't lived up to what we thought he'd be, a top pair RD that can add O also. I have kind of moved on from that considering what we have coming on our D. If he forms a solid pair with Miller for a few years I am good with that. Lindgren and Fox as a pair. And Lundkvist pairs with one of our other kids. That could be our D starting next season. Goodbye DeAngelo, Johnson, and Smith.
