Going out of his way trying to defend Quinn about giving icetime to those who Quinn feels have earned it. No Larry you dumbass. For starters, Quinn has given icetime to tons of guys who haven't earned it over those who have. Howden as a prime example. He played him over Andersson who whipped his ass in the pre-season. He's played Jack J0hnson who sucked over anybody else who doesn't. He played Smith who sucks so many times over guys with talent I lost count. This is a rebuild Larry you dumb old fuck. You aren't going to be rebuilt until Kakko gets first PP time with his shot and is playing 17+ minutes a night. Get a clue.
Yeah, great article by Brooks. Spot on with how Quinn breaks down his ice time. Chytil, Buch, Lafreniere, and Miller all performing well under Quinn clearly shows he can grow young talent and give them a chance. And Andersson doing nothing really in LA so far shows that may not have been about Quinn, despite our irrational fans insistence. So I agree, spot on great article by Brooks.
Quinn is doing the exact same thing with Kakko as Torts did with Kreider. Refusing to acknowledge the talent and making no commitment to developing it. We all know what happened to Torts and rightly so. He's starting to pull Renney shit also. Playing guys with little to no offensive talent because they try hard over superior talents. We know how that ended as well. Old fuck Brooks didn't mention one time that Kakko was playing harder and better than Kreider, Strome, Zibanejad and even Panarin. Quinn didn't scratch any of those guys or play them 9 minutes a game. That's why he's a schmuck as a coach. He's scared to do anything to a vet with good career numbers.
How's he doing with Miller, Lafreniere, Buch, and Chytil? He seems to have handled them well. Maybe he is tough on Kakko because he thinks that's what he needs to be better for it (see Buch and Chytil). But yeah, fire the guy because you don't like how he is handling Kakko and are having a hissy fit as a result. Funny.
