Yeah, I like that line also mel. Lemieux has played really well in this game. Putting a couple of hot players together.

Z's timing is so off, it has to be dealing with post Covid impacts. He'll get it going eventually.

Georgiev plays the puck away from the defenseman keeping everyone tired in the zone.

Nice job by Quinn keeping the same 3 guys out there while the pens change 3 times in OT. And for Christ’s sake zibenajad if that’s the best you can do stay in your fucking hotel room and get a haircut. That’s a bad non point for the rangers. Loved KAKKO shifts on the third with useless mongoloids lemieux and even more useless howden. FIRE QUINN!!

If we weren't looking to blame the coach for everything, what we'd actually be saying is neither goalie has played well at all. Both have 89% SV%'s, not close to good enough. They both need to play much better. Not some much really bad goals, as we are getting almost zero big timely saves.

Wait - did you just blame Quinn for players getting stuck on the ice? With all due respect mel, you have seriously lost your mind man. You are blaming the coach for players getting stuck on ice. Wow, you are out of control. These are NHL players bro, and they got stuck on ice during a 3 on 3. Jesus man enough.

Maybe if this idiot coach had any clue how to install some sort of defense they would not have to make a lot of saves.

It has been a couple of years. Time for the coach must go. Every 2 or 3 years like clockwork. So predictable. Now we are blaming the coach for both goalies having bad starts to the season, and for a long shift where NHL players got stuck on ice. Wow.

So you'll go with that huh? You do realize Igor has not faced more than 28 shots in any of his past 3 starts right, two of them with SV%'s under 90. So yeah, good point...

He might not have a good start but he has had to face a lot of high percentage shots because they play no system.

Maybe you guys would for once not take the lazy path and blame everything on the coach every 2 or 3 years. Z has been awful (I assume due to post Covid). The goalies (both of them) have not been good. And he has zero choice but to play one of Johnson or Smith, and both stink.

Miller has played well for him, Lafreniere getting top 6 minutes for him, Chytil was playing really well for him, Buch has been excellent for him. Enough already. It is not on Quinn. Of course he can do some things better, all coaches can, but he has been fine. The youngest team in the NHL has been up and down, and it is not all Quinn.

It's not all on Quinn but I don't see how they can succeed under him going forward.

I don't know that yet. By no means am I saying he is the guy moving forward for sure, but I don't know that answer yet. They overachieved last season. They have underperformed this season so far. We'll see where we go from here. But today right now I do not think he deserves to be fired, even while I am also saying I am not sure yet if he's the guy when we are ready to move forward hopefully next season.

He’s a college coach. Send his ass back to college and get an nhl coach in here. Start playing Igor like he’s the number one goalie he is and get the kid going already. How long does JD go with losing every game. We haven’t played the good teams in our division yet!!

Alternating goalies is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Quinn is going to be doing this all season per Sam and Joe.

3 things I think are needed to turn this around:

    1. Just play Igor in goal. If we are going to get going we'll need him to be the stud he has been his whole life playing hockey. Now let's be clear, he has not been good so far this season. He has allowed soft goals and not made timely big saves, just like G, but at this point go with Igor and give him a shot to get into a groove. That's our best hope.

    2. Gorton has to do something about Johnson/Smith. Those guys cannot play anymore. It has to stop. Quinn has no options there currently, and Gorton needs to give him one. Cut Johnson, call up Hajek, and Smith should never see the lineup as the 7th dman. Hajek may not do well, or he may do well, but either way he has to be better than Johnson/Smith. Enough already on this one Gorton.

    3. Ziban has to get going. He looked lost last night. He has been a disaster on FO's this season. I have to think this is a result of post Covid issues, but for the teams sake we have to hope he turns the corner and starts rounding into form really soon.
