We lost by 28 points, and the game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated. I think you're crazy, but you do you.

LMAO WTF did I just watch? How many times did he say I'm not using any excuses as he proceeds to list off a bunch of excuses.

Also - "Reducing playing time is not the answer for the most part. Sometimes with young players you can do that."

Go fuck yourself, dude. You cost us Will Barton. I don't want him to cost us Trent or Little.

i wish just once our media would remark about how shitty our defense while healthy. and back then, it was "oh we are trying out new schemes," or "we never had practice time," etc etc. dude is just one excuse after another.

Job security as the Blazers head coach is better than a government employee.

I mean, he cannot come up with a scheme or get his guys to try and stop the constant three point barrage. He couldn't even come up with the word "scheme" during that "press conference".

Mo Cheeks is the perfect example. Saved his job by helping that girl when she forgot the words to the anthem. Incredibly poor coach and got another year and change out of that.

Dame with some real talk. You hear how genuinely he wants to improve. You think a guy like that would NOT want to be held accountable?

I think it's good that the questions are getting a little tougher. No one is asking why in the hell is Melo even on the team, but they are hinting at it. And Quick asked what a lot of us are always thinking; what kind of accountability is there for defensive mistakes that happen over and over, he was polite enough to word it more gently, but it definitely needs to be asked.
If I was there I would probably ask: "Coach, we're twenty games into the season, the pandemic has been going for 11 months, why can't you find a decent facemask? One that doesn't continuously slide down you nose and get sucked into your mouth every time you speak?" Then, because I am a smartass, I would ask: "Does this reflect on your lack of attention to detail?"

There, now that I have your (fellow posters) attention, I would like to note that earlier in the evening I blamed lack of acquisition of another big man on Stotts. I mis-spoke there; that was Olshey of course.

Boy that didn't age well now did it.
Glad Little got some run. He's been needing a game like that.

Asking Terry at this point is pointless. He's standoffish and the guy is flat out clueless.

The questions need to start being pointed at Neil. Why the fuck does Terry still have a job?

Did everyone here him say that he is not in charge of the big picture and that he's just one person? This guy is not trying to or actually controlling this franchise. Olshey or Jodi for that matter could fire or trade anyone they want and Dame will soldier on.

If you watch Dame's interview, it's so clear that there is no one coaching or leading this defense. It's just like the constant drumbeat of "we have to get better" with absolutely no direction.

Terry sucks real bad. No reason we should be this bad on D, it’s half the fucking game and if it can’t be fixed then there’s a real problem with current management.

On another note once a slew of guys leave this offseason I feel confident these minutes are gonna help Nas and Ant. I really want Giles back too. Nas/Ant/Giles could be real quality bench players on very reasonable contracts. Honestly I like what Nas brings offensively a lot more than what DJJ offers.

What he said is that he's playing with the 3rd string and they have a big learning curve to be a unit....and that we will be better with Nurk and Zach, DJ and CJ back and that they'll keep chipping away at defensive ratings best they can....it doesn't get any clearer ...he's saying....patience...you're not looking at our core here and this will help them grow into contributors like Gary and now Nas have...in Dame's words..."I'm not crazy"

Little had a really nice game. It was better than Ant's real nice game against OKC

Simons scored 15 points but it took him 15 shots to get there. In fact over his last 3 games he only has 37 points on 38 shots. That's bad. And 4 of his 5 assists came in garbage time. I want to see him get some assists when the game matters. Not sure he's capable though
