After three episodes of "something weird is going on," it feels like the show finally ignited. It was cool seeing all the "glitches" Wanda encountered in her Pleasantville life being explained by what was happening outside the town. That "bee guy" seemed a hell of lot more sinister when we see him through Wanda's point of view.
Spoiler Episode 4 is the best yet I like how they used the episode to retcon the first three. I was excited to see them bring minor characters from different Marvel movies and bring them together Some of the strange elements from the first three episodes get explained The red helicopter was a drone sent into the town by captain Rambeau that transformed into a 1950's toy helicopter to adapt to Wanda's construed reality. It us interesting that it went from Captain Marvel colors to Iron Man colors. The unembodied voice we here asking Wanda who is doing this to you, was not Captain America as thought, but Agent Woo. The bee man was an agent sent in underground by sword to see what was happening and his outfit adapted as the helicopter did. Rambeau who accidentally got sucked in and mentioned Ultron in the third episode was pushed out of the town back into reality. Wanda is doing this to herself, seemingly as a way to keep vision alive. For a moment after she evicts Rambeau she sees through visions TV created persona and we catch a glimpse of his dead face. Does she have his dead body there? Has she reanimated his corpse using cosmic microwaves and he can only stay reanimated there in that town for some reason? Or this all in her head? It seems she was able to bring her twins into existence in this manner, who see in the comics and who later become heroes themselves. We know vision is dead? Paul Bettany and others at marvel have said so. If he was expelled from the then as Rsmbeau was we would surely see his corpse. Will this be how he ultimately returns? Is that Wanda's endgame? Or is this the only way she sees to be with him and wants to keep this false reality going? Is she really in complete control of it all? We see her figure out Rambeau doesn't belong, expell her, and rebuild her set. She knows what is happening or at least that she is in a created world outside of reality and wants to stay there. Is Wanda using the mind stone? Or some other unworldly power? We know she has powers, but this seems to be beyond her capabilities. Is there someone more powerful behind this? Some like Mephisto? Wanda has taken over or created a small town, called Westview....which according to police and nearby citizens doesn't exist...only Eastview does. She has cast the citizens of Westview in a sitcom version of her life along with members of sword apparently and possibly other agencies and groups. We have gone through a 50's, 60's, and 70's setting. Time inside the town is moving quickly. It will be interesting to see how they pull of the 80's, 90's, 00's, 10's, 20's and beyond. What happens when they get to the time where Vision dies in reality? What happens when they get passed our current time? Will we see the future or will Sword figure out how to cancel Wanda's evolving TV show by then? The show is getting good
The Daughter and I this past fall watched all the Marvel movies in order and we're excited to see this. My only concern is that I will get into it and then they will cancel it after 1 season. I can't have that.
There won't be a second season. It will be continued in Spider Man 3 and Doctor Strange 2. Its all linear and connected to the rest of the MCU. Marvel has a shit-ton of shows on Disney Plus that will interconnect. Falcoln and Winter Soldier (next captain america lead in) starts in March.
Everything is pointing to Mephisto (the devil) being involved somehow. I hope they change it on us, and its related to the X-men. I doubt it, as they don't have time to cast, but that would be awesome.
And WandaVision picks up from there. Purposely haven't watched a trailer, but we are going to start it tomorrow night.
First Wanda who destroyed the mind stone in his head killing him, then Thanos used the time stone to rewind things and he killed vision upon ripping the mind stone from his head.
Yeah, as I said above it is Mephisto. Could be Nightmare but probably not. I was also wondering if this has to do with the mind stone.
It picks up after the re - snap at the end of end game that brings everyone who died sans Vision back.
Spoiler So, I assume that as Rambeau comes out of the snap in the hospital, Scarlet Witch (Wanda) and the other avengers are coming out in the battle field via the end of endgame. But, Rambeau seems to get her assignment very quickly to go to Westview to investigate what's up. Wanda is already there and has been there. So whatever happened to get Wanda /Vision there had to happen quite quickly and maybe even simultaneously after/with the end of Endgame. The mid season trailer seems to indicate the TV sitcom reality in Westview was created for Wanda not by her. She also says at one point in it that she doesn't know what is going on. It appears too Vision will try to leave to see what is outside the town. Will his lifeless body collapse outside the barrier? Will he still somehow be alive?
I always hated Vision as a comic book character. Not sure why, TBH. He was great in both the Avengers movies. I was considering getting the Disney service for the Mandalorian, I think it's a must-get now.
Supposedly a surprise appearance coming up. God I hope it will be Magneto or Professor X. Set up X-Men vs Avengers
I was thinking Professor X with the supposed X men tie in. I think it will be Wanda's brother somehow back from the dead...probably Mephisto/Nightmare in disquise
