Given that we have a roster spot and a 2-way available, and we’re running a skeleton crew in games we need to win, what the hell?
I thought it had been established that Nurkic not getting his bonus meant the Blazers had enough room for a full vet minimum deal
Because of Nurk's bonus coming off the cap, we can get someone who makes anything under 1.8M. We could take the protection off of the first that's with Houston this year and use future firsts if we thought that someone would make a big enough difference who is in that price range. Guys that might fit that bill: Shake Milton, Kendrick Nunn, and maybe Shaquille Harrison are guys that can play point on offense but defend both guard positions. If we wanted to go big Alex Len's numbers are really good for the limited PT he's getting, not that it's realistic but Mitchell Robinson fits and I know he was just drafted but Jalen McDaniels can do a lot of things on offense but his D is suspect and we need defense. I would only want Mitchell out of the bigs and he would be next to impossible to get but Miami has such a huge amount of guards and wings I think we could get Milton for a couple of picks and I don't know what Nunn would cost but he'd be a good fit for us. There are also the possibilities of a one for two or two for three trade that would give us more depth and could even cut salaries.
You not getting Milton from Morey for a couple of 2nd round picks. They have no reason to do that since they are first in the East and they want to win now. Nunn should be much easier actually when everyone is healthy he is out of their rotation.
