Stotts admitted in the postgame interview that he is fine with Melo isos and inefficient fadeaway 2 pt shots. He said, “Melo has earned the right to play HIS game.”

Stop. You aren't allowed to use injuries as an excuse for a lower level of play.

Bro, do you have any idea how much Melo's teammates love him? Obviously not with posts like this. It's comical. THEY FUCKING LOVE HIM! They want to see him make history. How are is that to understand?

Yeah he has a "Hip Contusion". Bruised hip is not an injury that will get worse.

Generally the concern over playing with injuries is not just the possibility of exacerbating the existing problem, but also the increased likelihood of causing new ones as a result of physical compensation for the discomfort.

Read this thread and you would think Melo was costing the team a win?
Watching the game without reading this thread you watched melo with a total mismatch pretty much every time down the court that the team decided to take advantage of.
It's the same thing the Magic were doing with Vucevic for 41 mins. Blazers didn't really have a body to cover him.

It wasn't mentioned in the thread but IMO the difference in that game was Free Throws. Orlando shooting 54% from the line going 12-22 was absolutely atrocious. The calls were pretty even but yes there were some bad calls on both sides of the ball. For the most part you can't complain about how that game was called.

Lots of comments about Dames health. Lets get this clear. LILLARD AIN"T SITTING OUT FOR NO REASON. He has a bruise on his hip. If you have ever had a bruised hip or hip pointer you know they are painful but they are not going to get worse. This is a simple nagging injury. In this game with the position this team is in Lillard will be playing.

Note to CJ haters. If CJ McCollum is healthy and playing in this game both Dame and CJ are playing 24-26 mins and sitting the entire fourth quarter. I'll add also if Nurk is available for that game Vucevic is neutralized and Kanter cleans up on the bench mob. If Collins is available our PF cannot be guarded and the second unit has Melo getting everything he wants. I also think Little could have played big in this game.

    Yes Injuries Matter!

This is not a "Structural" injury. Ankle, Knee, Hip Joint, Shoulder, Back. Those are injuries that cause other injuries. Bruises don't generally effect you in those ways. Lillard ain't sitting out for a bruise.

No one is doubting their love or even fandom for some of the younger players for Melo. I think for many fans though, we would like them to make history with a title instead of watching a once great offensive player continue to chuck away just for compiling stats. It doesn't set a very good example for the younger players, and certainly won't be part of any contending team for something bigger than just his numbers. Fair?

I looked at Simons #'s, and his PER 36's are actually just as impressive as Trents, and in some cases, more impressive.

Neither one is shooting a great FG% (41.5 vs 39), but their 3 FG% is comparable (43 vs 40), and their 2 pt FG% are both sub 40 (39 vs 37) and their effective FG% is similar (54 vs 53). Points, rebounds, assists and blocks favor Simons, and steals favor Trent.

The biggest difference is minutes (Trent averages over 12 more minutes a game).

Excited to see Nas back in the mix.

Elleby’s defensive instincts really impress me.

He wasn't back in the mix.

Or was this a green font/mocking post of someone?
