Its kind of freaky, my dad was in LA's Chinatown about 2 years ago and my mom went into a store. He fell and hit his head, not unlike the Thai victim, he had to go to the hospital and was there for a few days, luckily, nothing bad happened. Wonder if he was pushed like in the case above.

In any case, I told them they shouldn't come back to live in LA (they have a condo near Chinatown and take the rail line or uber to get around town when they are here).

umfortunately, i think its a culture thing. In no way to i agree or disagree but i think it has alot to do with covid.
Many Americans aren't able to individualize and just lump all into one pot. So when a wet market is a suspect in the covid creation, Americans associate wet markets with asian culture and there you have it.

To an extent i do. The increase has coincided with the outbreak and Americans have a history of ignorantly lumping all together as a sum of an issue instead of digging deeper into the intricacies of things to differentiate and pinpoint the root of a problem.
