There seems to be consensus here that the logo should be nonwhite, a silhouette, and a modern participant. So I nominate Bob Whitsitt, in a darker red than my new avatar. I decided to stop looking bald.
Shaq over Kareem? Shaq over Wilt? And people forget what Elgin Baylor did for the Lakers. Granted, it was mainly keeping the Clippers shit for years as their GM, but still.
For a full career, I'd probably pick Kareem, but I think his peak passed with the Bucks. He was still great for a number of years for the Lakers, but not at his Milwaukee best (pun not intended). The same could be said for Wilt Chamberlain, that his peak had passed before he reached LA (though he played smarter in LA). Of the three, I think Shaq probably had the best part of his career in LA. Not the most graceful part of his career, as he went from an incredible run-and-jump big athlete in Orlando to a ground-bound tank in LA--but for all that his game was ugly and brutal in LA, it was inescapably effective and dominant.
