Been there twice. A whole lot of nothing. Of course I've since learned there is a lot more to the state. Once tried to get my wife to order rocky mountain oysters there.

    Thinking this so far:

First weekend in August. Weekend before the Magic fashion industry convention....initial invite list is 35. Even if 1/3 make it, should be a good time.

Thinking Golden Steer for the old school vibes.

I may make our group that night small, maybe 3 or 4 people and go to e by Jose Andres.

If you're going to throw a Bach party there's a whole Bach festival in Eugene dude!

I have to come up with a backup plan if things aren't semi-normal by then. Maybe a series of expensive meals.

I would have loved to do it in Nola but we would probably end up jacked. Plus August is humid as fuck.

I did it for my 40th and had a fucking blast.

My son's buddies planned his party hitting strip clubs in Portland and then off to a rented lodge outside Bend where they had a full bar and the works....they had a blast...he got married at Mt Pisgah Arboretum under the giant oak tree...big spread with a DJ there at the lodge....was a great wedding experience all around.

When I went to strip clubs, I enjoyed the ones in Portland way more than the ones in LA or Vegas (for the most part). Just a more chill vibe, little scummier, the girls were all tatoo'ed up, etc.

One of the strippers in Portland actually grew up with my son and his buddies and graduated high school with them....they've been friends since 3rd grade....

I hope they utilized that pipeline to access the stripper friends!

She's actually a really funny young woman...I know her whole family. That group of kids had massive fun together...I'm sure she made sure they had a fun party.

Love oysters on the half shell but shooters are way too large.

Got married a couple years ago and bypassed the crazy Vegas party but I'm late 30's now so it felt like a 'been there, done that' thing at this point. I flew back to PDX from Texas and about a dozen of us rented a house on the coast. Played a few rounds of golf, played some beach games, bbq'd and drank a bunch and figured out all kinds of ways to gamble on whatever we were doing. Was a great weekend!

I don’t remember a great deal about my bachelor party, other than it was at a friends house, I was pretty trashed and it was 45 years ago. But what I DO remember is that my friend somehow got Deep Throat on tape (black and white....and in Betamax....or whatever was available in 1976. The equipment necessary to run it was extremely extensive compared to today) and we thought we were cutting edge for those days. Now it just makes me feel old and pervy........

Just take a couple of those blue pills and I'm sure you'll get your equipment to run again.

The owner's son of that place used to be my ticket partner in the Trail Blazers.
