You do realize that a lot of the more successful streamers are brands and run it like a business, right? They treat it like their livelihood because it is. Others have side jobs as IT consultants and such and have degrees. Meyers wasn't a successful streamer. He had clout before he got on there. Now it's gone because he intentionally used a racial slur. Hint: all the details are out. He meant what he said. You lost the argument. Move on.
I'm saying if someone says they're a Blazer fan, but tell you "you know, I actually enjoy it when the Lakers win the title", chances are they're not actually a Blazer fan.
Surprisingly it’s a slur many don’t know about. Gen Zers are totally confused today and have flooded Urban Dictionary. It’s not common and pretty obscure - makes you wonder what else Meyers has in his arsenal
Could we all agree we miss the days when online gaming and LARPing was much more fun? People get so angry now in their little online communities.
So you’re a tribalist who equates sports’ fandom with real life nuanced differences on social issues. Is that what you mean, because that’s a very simplistic post if so.
You seem like the angriest person in this thread. But that's kind of at the heart of white resentment, so that's not exactly a huge surprise.
In many ways that's actually a good thing...it says that in some way my generation helped to eliminate it from the language wherever possible. I grew up when entertainers said shit like that all the time.
I knew what it meant. Whenever the Dodgers Kike Hernandez was on highlights or posted online in posts I was always like WTF.
