sorry for my confusion....are you saying you heard from a solid source that Aldridge said that to Olshey? Follow-up: was this before or after the trade deadline?
So I know I haven't been here long, but I have a friend who's roommate works at PDX. Guess who they saw this morning walking off a plane from Texas? He is sending me a picture right now.
Will if LA gets a buy out then I wouldn't mind him back. He still has decent defense stats plus he gives a different deminsion to the offense. Now who loose minutes probably Kanter and Hood. More likely that Stotts will try play him some at the 4 and the 5 depends on game situations. Would I trade for him no I wouldn't give 2 or 3 players to match salary plus he final year in his contract.
watch the games......Michael Holton knows a bit about what's gone on game by game....but hey...if stats say Melo doesn't get attention, hey...you can live with that...it's not what I've seen...I really don't care to argue it or read your spread sheet ...everyone kn0ws our bench has struggled so far early in the season so I really don't care what that chart says about Dame's production with the bench....I'm saying Melo is getting doubled in the paint over and over....now that doesn't mean other players are making shots when he does....but fact is he does get attention with the ball So saying Dame drops off with the bench mob is a no brainer but doesn't negate Holton's observation at all. Try the eye test for a change...or don't..This is also happening much more since Nurk and CJ have not been in the mix...and for your info....Dame has said repeatedly how much Melo has taken the pressure off him since joining the team....I'm going with his teammate's view of the situation
I know I've mentioned this before, but I was told in the spring of 2015 from a source (who would have known) that used to be with Portland and was with the Spurs at the time, that LMA had all but decided he was going to San Antonio. The Portland, Phoenix, or San Antonio stuff was more-or-less a show. Having said that, I would glady welcome back LMA for the minimum with open arms.
Whether a person chose to believe what LA said in the summer of 2014 is a personal decision. We all have different BS filter settings. The fact is that simply that’s what he said at the time. He was either lying (doubtful in my opinion) or he changed his mind in the space of a year. I find that much more plausible. Circumstances had changed. He could see that Dame was the shiny new object of Blazer fans’ attention and he didn’t like that. He also got a big sales job by the Spurs. Not sure why him changing his mind is seen as some nefarious situation by some of you.
You have to think though, if a dude is that meteoric, why would you risk it? He went from demanding a trade to loving the city to 100% being out the door in the span of a few years? That's simply a risk you don't take.
No source. First hand. The team was notified the year before his contract ended that LMA was going to leave
