Yo-yo Ma brought his cello with him when he received his second shot. During the 15 minute recovery time, other vaccine recipients were treated to an impromptu concert.

Yep, sounds like the kind of immigrant we need to keep out!

After driving from Florida to Oregon, here is a couple things I noticed. Practically everywhere we went (mostly gas stations) had mandatory mask notices. We went the southern route because there was a gnarly snowstorm in the rockies and the only places I saw without them were in the panhandle of texas and I think one place in either Mississippi or Alabama. Everyone mostly followed protocol except in the southern states and Vegas had people walking around outside without masks. They did at least do temp checks when you check in at your hotel though, so that's something.

Unrelated, we ended up getting stuck on I-40 in Arizona for 8 hours. They shut the highway down after only about 3 inches of snow.

If Oregon has CVS; I found that if you get on the site really earlier in the morning you have a chance to schedule an appointment. Here in Jersey, they had only one CVS with appointment availability back on March 2. I took it. Got Moderna. The second shot is April 1. I wanted the State program but they had openings too late for me and too far away.. Good Luck. I hope you and your wife get those appointments.

Thanks for the heads up, but we’re good. We got extremely lucky and were able to get appointments through Albertsons/Safeway. We got the Moderna vaccine weekend before last.

The whole process is kind of a joke. Was able to say I was an unpaid caregiver on OHA website and when I got marked eligble made an appointment at Walgreens. At Walgreens they gave you a sheet and you X'd which requirement you meant and then did not ask for any verification of it so I was able to get my first dose (Pfizer) yesterday and am already booked for second dose next month. I am 30. Heard this was the case through my wifes clients and decided to give it a try.

My 62 y/o mother also got her first dose yesterday at Costco and they did not require verification either. If you are wanting the vaccine now, give it a try.

Not saying it's the best thing I've ever done, but I was checking middle of the and there were ton's of appointments available. As a farther, if I can protect my family and my son's grandparents instead of waiting on the joke of a state government that Oregon is to efficiently roll out a program....I'm going to do it.

Man, Rand Paul is an idiot. His argument sounds exactly like Trump last year. We have not had any in our country etc...

    What a fucking moron.

Well done Kentucky. You gave us the turtle - and just to prove you are serious - you doubled down on the evil idiot.
