The Blazers, maligned for feasting on bad teams, are now 10-10 vs. .500+ teams. Not bad.

    Same record as the Lakers.

Dude, you’ve been gargling Rubios balls for over a decade now. He’s a below average player who’s teams are always stank.

His teams have always been young and too many players with the same skill set. I think he’s easily in the top tier of coaching minds.

Imagine the talent required to play point guard while being gargled.

Trent has attempted over 600 three's in his career and has 40% on them. I think 600 shots is an adequate enough sample size to have a decent idea on his shooting ability from deep. 40% is a pretty good rate of conversion. Obviously, there will be 5 and 10 game chunks of fairly significant variance, but that's true for all shooters, even Curry

I think at this point we can expect Trent to be in the range of 38-42% on three's. And yeah, that range I just pulled out of the air, but it seems realistic. Trent is a good shooter. What he isn't yet is a good defender, positional rebounder, or ball-handler. I'd say best case is being a moderate usage, higher efficiency shooter with decent defense. But right now, he's kind of one-dimensional

unfortunately, NBA & Blazer history suggests he may very well be overpaid on his 2nd contract, and another bloated contract is not what Portland needs

I said this on another thread but I think the situation with Gary's shot right now is really obvious. I think he's hearing about trade rumors. I don't think this slump hurts his trade value because GMs understand this is what happens around the deadline with a young player rumored to be on the block and if he doesn't get traded I bet he'll go right back to being a sniper. So we just need to get great value for him or possibly have to deal with two more games of less than excellent shooting.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
If it was a serious tear of ligaments, maybe. If it was just a sprain/mild tear, he'll back in plenty of time for the playoffs.

I guess I'm superstitious because I don't even want to consider the impact of injuries to other teams for fear of the boomerang effect on Portland

He checked out of the game, changed shoes, came back in the game, hit a corner three and then checked back out and walked to the locker room. If they let him go back in, he was able to hit a three, and walk off... it doesn't seem like it could be too serious.

Just looking at team schedules and I noticed if you look at Portland vs West Play off teams the Blazers have the advantage of 2 of the 3 games in Portland against Den, SA and Dallas, the rest, Utah, Lakers, Clips, Suns we play the 2 of 3 on the road. You look at the Lakers and they 2 of 3 on the road against only the Mav's and Spurs, the rest of the top west teams the Lakers get the home court advantage against. Just lucky or conspiracy time?

Kobe shot FTs after tearing his Achilles. Some guys are just different. MRI still pending for ligament damage, X-Rays are negative so no broken bones.
