Beavers are riding a perfect storm. Everybody on the team is shooting at a basket that seems a little larger. They are almost all moving their feet well on defense and maintaining position. Starters and bench are all in sync and the machine appears well oiled. This happens for a decent team every once in a while and they become one of the toughest outs around. Enjoy it Beav fans because it's kind of rare.
What a great game - first OSU tourney win I’ve ever seen. Had to work but didn’t get much done - way too exciting a performance.
How many of you honestly picked the Beavers to make the sweet 16? I bet that alone pretty much devastated almost every bracket in the country.
I haven’t been this excited about the Beavers basketball team since I went there back in the 80s when Gary Payton was running the show. Great to see them get some national recognition!
The beavers haven’t won a game in the tournament since 1982. Payton played in the late 80s so he never won a game when he was here
since the Ralph Miller days, the Beavers have not played well in the tourney Miller's team were notorious for being regular season champions and bowing out really early in March Madness. I think a lot of it was that when the Beavers were either winning or contending for Pac-10 championships, the Pac-10 officials allowed a lot of hand checking and hand defense. Those great Beavers teams were really good and redirecting players with hand contact. That became a major component of their defense. But in the tournament, the Beavers were always in foul trouble and their opponents paraded to the FT line this year's beaver team is really playing well right now, at the perfect time, and they don't have many chinks in their late season armor. I wouldn't be surprised if they were a final-4 Cinderella
Oh man, for some reason I thought Beavs made it to the final 4 at some time in past oh well, I guess 2021 is the year!! #LFGBeavs
...I was referring to pre-Nike money infusion times. You know, when the Ducks always sucked at basketball.
