    Hello darkness, my old friend
You realize that 3- and 4-team trades involving 10-15 players almost never happen and are almost certainly not going to be what happens this week, right?

That said, I can see the Blazers getting outbid and trying to jump in as a middle man on a trade

They do happen though. The fact is if Toronto is rebuilding and the Knicks wanted to really try to build a contender for next year (this move still leaves them with 40M in cap space this summer) then the Knicks would send out several big time prospects to make this happen. We would need a backup PG. The salaries have to be matched and roster minimums have to be met.

This would be one of the biggest in history.

Solidly .500 in the East? People are making too big of a deal about their success. I think they have a lot of potential especially with their cap space this off season but they might not even make the playoffs.

I really hope that if we’re giving up on Little that we’re getting someone legit in return.

I’ll riot if it’s for JaVale McGee or something like that.

I just want to make sure the authorities now I won’t actually start in or participate in a riot. These days, you can’t take things too lightly.

He is the best offensive player. To take away what Walton did on both sides of the ball in dominant fashion is either not knowing the game well or just plain disrespectful. Same with Clyde to a lesser extent on the defensive end.

Someone pointed this out to me. Dame has been the PG for the Blazers for 9 seasons and STILL trails SG Clyde Drexler in assists by a significant margin. He will catch him to be sure, but people seem to forget how good Clyde was. He was the 2nd best player in the NBA to the GOAT for a period of time. Walton was a league MVP. Dame hasn't approached either of those.

It's not to take away anything from Dame, but also not to disrespect Walton and Drexler.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Drexler was never the second best player in the NBA. He was the second-best shooting guard to Jordan for a period of time. No one would have taken him over players like Magic, Bird, Barkley, Malone, Olajuwon, Robinson, Ewing, etc. While some rose or faded during his prime, there was never a time when he was better than all of those players. Only very committed Portland fans believed that Jordan and Drexler were direct competitors for best player in the league when they met in the Finals.

Yeah, that's great. The top of the MVP ballot, especially then, was generally a pretty direct statement of which teams were winning. If you think that in a draft of the entire NBA in 1991-1992 by the teams, Drexler would go second, you're extremely naive IMO.

Drexler played around 220 more games for Portland than Dame has, and he never really shared the floor with high usage ball-stoppers like Aldridge, CJ, and Melo

and Drexler was passing to Mychall Thompson, Jim Paxon, Calvin Natt, Kenny Carr, Kiki Vandeweigh, Jerome Kersey, Terry Porter, Kevin Duckworth, Steve Johnson, Buck Williams, Clifford Robinson, Drazen Petrovic, Danny Ainge, Mario Elie, Tracy Murray....

I mean, the quality of scorers and shooters the two have played with is an incredible mismatch in Clyde's favor. If you set Aldridge aside, I'm seeing about 10-12 forwards and wings that are better than just about anything Dame has had to pass to. And the C's has been a big advantage for Clyde to. And, Adelman's offense was about twice as good as Stottsfense

that's not to say that people might be underrating Clyde and the Redhead in the Dame love affair. Just that Those two guys had a hell of a lot more help than Dame has had. Teams could not double and trap Clyde because he played with guys like Porter...and he was 6'7

In 1991-92, Drexler was 2nd best player in NBA, not Magic (who was retired), not Bird, not Ewing etc.
